Bury Developments apprentice, Zac Hillman became the runner up at the Suffolk Joint Construction Committee for Building Apprentice of the Year Award 2023, which was held in Ipswich in May. Zac has been with Bury Developments since October 2020 and started as an apprentice bricklayer. Since he started his apprenticeship in bricklaying, he has always had a positive and can-do attitude, is very motivated and keen to learn. He has fitted in well with our bricklaying team at Bury Developments and for someone as young as he is, he learns very quickly and always produces a high-quality finish with his work.
A statement from his previous lecturer, David Wood said, “Zac was an intelligent and thoughtful apprentice. He sought accuracy and aesthetically pleasing work whilst attending his studies with us. Matching his practical was a sound theory knowledge and a solid appreciation of sustainable matters. A fine young man and I wish him every success.
We are very proud of Zac’s achievements, and he is a valuable member of the Bury Developments team.
